New Hire Reporting

The continuing national attention paid to child support payment delinquencies and welfare and unemployment insurance abuse has led many states to beef up their new hire reporting requirements in an effort to help identify and locate alleged abusers. Congress decided to mandate new-hire reporting nationwide in its effort to reform the welfare system. As of 10-1-97, new-hire reporting is mandatory in every state. Following is a summary list of links to new hire sites, if available, developed by each state.  Each site offers specific up-to-date instructions and regulations for that state. Many offer online reporting.
